A Toronto-based lawyer is suing Canadian authorities over counterfeit Viagra pills.
David J. McInnes, 59, of North Vancouver, was sentenced to two years in federal prison for buying counterfeit Viagra pills in Toronto in 2010.
He was also ordered to pay $2.75 million in restitution.
The counterfeit pills sold to a Toronto-based lawyer are being sold through Canada's Health Canada.
The law firm, based in Mississauga, Ontario, has filed a lawsuit against the Health Canada, which owns the drugmaker. The firm was accused of selling the pills over the internet.
